Low Level Laser Therapy at Geoffrey Lloyd Foulkes Clinic in Ilford, Essex
Low Level Laser Therapy
Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is non-surgical laser treatment. A non-burning, and non-cutting form of laser and so does not have the ability to damage cells. This technology applies low, soft laser light over injuries, to aid healing. LLLT penetrates below the skin's surface into the deep tissue and produces the effects of healing, repair and regeneration. This is also known as photobiomodulation.
Treatment is non-invasive, pain-free, easy to apply and effective.
LLLT increases the speed, quality and tensile strength of tissue repair; reducing inflammation and relieving pain. The effects of LLLT are photochemical - increasing Adenosine triphosphate (ATP - a source of energy at cellular level). This improves cell metabolism and reduces inflammation.
Advantages of LLLT:
No Known Side Effects
Speeds Up Healing
